Infoblox NetMRI Automates Federal Networks

  Share With Friends

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - In the latest release of its flagship network management software NetMRI, Infoblox provides federal networks and prime contractors with unmatched security and compliance enforcement out of the box.

With intuitive and flexible interface options, and new embedded expertise and reports, Infoblox NetMRI streamlines the unique and complex management issues in federal agency networks, which must meet stringent levels of security and compliance. Infoblox NetMRI proactively monitors real-time settings against built-in standards, flags violations and shows the impact of routine network changes on compliance standards.

Infoblox NetMRI also provides all of the turnkey benefits of a physical appliance in a virtualized environment.

Additional enhancements in Infoblox NetMRI support the most common characteristics of federal networks include:

  • Dynamic and detailed support for virtualized environments, establishing a rock-solid network infrastructure capable of managing the complexity and dynamic nature of virtualization and cloud computing.
  • IPv6 and VoIP network diagnostics that identify the root cause of VoIP network performance degradation while offering a quick resolution. This functionality is critical in the expansion of IPv6 and VoIP capabilities in Afghanistan and Iraq.
  • Full DIACAP certification, validated through rigorous testing and evaluation ensures that all network change and configuration management activity meets the stringent DoD mandated levels of assurance.
  • Large-scale management and distributed architecture allows operators to tier groups and networks into a single point of management, to easily scale across thousands of nodes. This architecture offers unlimited flexibility with the ability to define multi-user, multi-role and multi-domain access and privileges, while providing a single, consolidated view of the entire network, utilizing an easy-to-use interface and intuitive drill-down options.
  • DISA STIG-ready automation, NSA-published reporting best practices, and SNMPv3 support to confirm the authentication, privacy and access control measures that must be in place for devices connecting to the federal network.

Infoblox NetMRI automates network troubleshooting, eliminating the concern about problems lurking undetected, and predicts when device misconfigurations could trigger a dangerous ripple-effect.

NetMRI: Battlefield Tested

General Dynamics, the prime systems integrator for the U.S. Army's Warfighter Information Network - Tactical (WIN-T) leverages NetMRI's capabilities to diligently monitor VoIP at various remote locations. Providing network management tools across several independent networks, Infoblox NetMRI helps support Higher Headquarter Army elements.

"In the field, there's no time to spare on network troubleshooting, and zero tolerance for breakdowns in communication networks," said Yama Habibzai, Director of Product Marketing at Infoblox. "Networks are in perpetual flux - they're unpredictable; more so now that virtualization makes latent errors even harder to foresee."

Rigorously tested and proven for the Army's WIN-T program, Infoblox NetMRI helps ensure an environment in which commanders will have the ability to maneuver anywhere on the battlefield and communicate and collaborate with warfighters, command posts and analytical centers at remote locations throughout the battlespace.

"Our government customers face a unique set of challenges when it comes to managing their network infrastructures," said Greg O'Connell, Senior Director U.S. Federal Team at Infoblox. "Made up of a complex web of nodes and devices in dispersed locations, government networks have the added burden of being a target. The ability to manage and control all changes to the network is vital for day-to-day operations and security at the highest level."
