Fort Lauderdale Area Church Announces Summer of Fun Program

Coastal Community Church, a Christ-centered, non-denominational church located in South Florida, is pleased to announce its "Summer of Fun" program for families, which will involve 13 events beginning June 11, 2010 and span over a 9-week period. Indoor and outdoor activities will allow children, ages 5 and up, to enjoy various events during the summer recess.

"We're excited about the planned activities," said Pastor Wayne Wilson, children's director for Coconut Creek-based Coastal Community Church.

"These diversified events will allow parents to spend quality time with their children and help create a memorable summer for everyone involved," he added.

All events are open to the public and at least one parent or guardian is required to be present during each event. The "Summer of Fun" schedule is as follows:

June 11, 2010. Movie Night. 7:25 pm, Monarch High School, 5050 Wiles Road in Coconut Creek.

June 16, 2010. Bring a Friend to Kick Ball. 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sabal Pines Park, 5005 NW 39th Ave in Coconut Creek.

June 24, 2010. Bowling Night. 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Margate Brunswick Lanes, 2020 North State Road 7 in Margate.

June 30, 2010. Movie Day. 10:00 am at Magnolia Stadium, 9645 Westview Drive in Coral Springs.

July 4, 2010. Fourth of July Celebration. Time TBA at the Coral Springs Sportsplex, 3299 Sportsplex Drive.

July 7, 2010. Movie Day 2. 10:00 am at Magnolia Stadium in Coral Springs.

July 10, 2010. Family Field Day. 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Sabal Pines Park in Coconut Creek.

July 14, 2010. Sweet Healthy Treat Night. 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Yogurtland, 2806 University Drive in Coral Springs.

July 19, 2010. Beach Day. 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Hillsboro Beach in Deerfield Beach.

July 24, 2010. Scavenger Hunt. 10:00 am at the Coral Square Mall, 9469 West Atlantic Blvd in Coral Springs.

July 28, 2010. Ice Skating Night. 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Coral Springs Sportsplex.

August 5, 2010. Ice Cream Social. 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Sabal Pines Park in Coconut Creek.

August 14, 2010. Summer of Fun Picnic. 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Sabal Pines Park in Coconut Creek.
