Pioneers in Ad Hoc Reporting Platform to Support Hadoop Framework for Large Data Analysis via Hive and Aster Data

Intellicus Technologies (www.intellicus.com), a leading provider of Enterprise Reporting and Business Insights Platform, today announced its support for large data analysis on Hadoop via Hive and Aster Data. Intellicus also announced its road map of tighter integration with Hive and Aster Data for submitting long running Map Reduce jobs from Intellicus for background run to get live-streamed data on its dash boards and ad hoc reports.

Intellicus is capable of high volume data processing and streaming capabilities and offers advanced data visualization tools. Combined with petabytes of data storage and parallel processing strength of Hadoop, Intellicus can provide end users access to ad hoc analysis on big data.

On the occasion, Pankaj Mittal, VP & CTO of Intellicus, said, "The ad hoc reporting support is given off the shelf. The support for much needed, date related data analysis for varied types of web log files will be released later this quarter. Now, one can generate web analytics on the fly."

Pankaj also added, "The scope is very clear, Intellicus would not provide HDFS management or Map Reduce job writing tools. Instead, it will sit neatly on Hive or Aster Data layers to be able to browse meta data and do ad hoc reporting. Of course, invoking Hadoop batch jobs for data processing is in the scope."

Intellicus is also looking into developing partnerships with big data consulting companies looking for ready-to-deploy BI on Hadoop. It has already tied up with Impetus Technologies Inc.'s architectural consultant arm, iLabs. Impeuts' iLabs has active contributors for Hive JIRA and Open Source.
