Kelly-Moore Introduces Two Waterborne Primers/Sealers, Kel-Bond Ultra and Kel-Bond Adhesion Plus

New Low-VOC, High-Performance Products Enhance Adhesion and Bonding for Difficult and Damaged Surfaces

Available at all Kelly-Moore stores, Kel-Bond Ultra is formulated to correct and smooth badly distressed or rough conditions and Kel-Bond Adhesion Plus is the solution for professionals to treat difficult, non-porous surfaces.

Kel-Bond Ultra is a low-odor primer/sealer formulated to provide exceptional bonding properties to a wide variety of surfaces. This high-performance primer offers a sound foundation for new construction as well as to fill and smooth most rough and cracked conditions existing on previously painted surfaces. The high-build application of up to 30 mils per coat makes it the solution for conditions such as alligatoring, checking and wrinkling/blistering. It is ideal for smoothing wood trim, wood siding, hardboard, stucco, brick, fiberglass, aluminum and galvanized metal. The fast-drying Kel-Bond Ultra can only be recoated with flexible acrylic top-coats.

Kel-Bond Adhesion Plus is formulated to provide exceptional adhesion over hard, dense or glossy surfaces. It has an excellent foundation coat for a variety of new and previously painted surfaces, and features excellent wet-adhesion and leveling properties. It is the ideal solution for difficult surfaces such as aluminum and galvanized metals, pvc shutters and window trim, glass and glazed tiles, fiberglass, silicone polyester and Kynar siding. This easy-to-apply, easy-to-sand, low-odor primer/sealer can be recoated in three hours with acrylic-latex paints, alkyds, lacquers and two-component urethanes or epoxy coatings.

Kel-Bond Ultra comes in one-gallon cans and five-gallon pails, and cleans up with just water. Kel-Bond Adhesion Plus is available in quarts and one-gallon cans, and cleans up with soap and water. Both primers/sealers can be brushed, rolled or sprayed.
