Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Scouting in America

The Los Angeles Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, kicked off a two day Cen-Ten-O-Ree at Whittier Narrows Regional Park Recreation Area in observance of the 100th Anniversary of Scouting in the United States.

Over 3,000 Scouts and adult leaders participated in the excitement and pageantry of the celebration including many fun filled activities; archery, nature center, museum tour, push cart derby, BB gun shooting, Indian Village crafts, carnival activities, emergency preparedness, religious expression and much more. Saturday evening will feature a "Big Show" with professional entertainers and Scout entertainment. On Sunday morning there will be a Scout's Own (non-denominational religious service).
