UPDATE: Shoplifter Stabs Store Employee
Juvenile Arrested for Walmart Stabbing
At 9:51 p.m. the Folsom Police Department was contacted by the mother of juvenile. The mother advised dispatchers that her son was the suspect officers were looking for in relation to the stabbing. The mother said she had the knife used and the stolen BB gun ready for officers to collect.
At 10:16 p.m. investigators arrested the 13 year old boy for robbery and attempted murder. They also took the knife and stolen property as evidence. The juvenile was booked into the Sacramento County Juvenile Hall.
The employee who became a victim was last reported to be in stable condition. He is being held for further observation.

A store employee trying to apprehend a shoplifter was stabbed just before 4 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred at the Walmart located in Folsom at 3:53 p.m. Firefighters at Folsom Station 35, located across the street from Walmart, called the Folsom Police to advise a Walmart employee had showed up at their door. The fire personnel treated and transported the victim quickly as officers were arriving to investigate.
According to his fellow store employees, the victim was working at the store when he notified them he saw someone steal an item. The victim contacted the suspect outside the store where a struggle ensued. The victim was stabbed multiple times in the abdomen and torso during the altercation, and was seen dropping to the ground by passersby. The suspect was seen running across Glenn Drive south bound behind the Folsom Aquatic Center and Lembi Park.
The suspect is described as a white male, mid to late teens, with medium length straight hair dark blonde to light brown in color. He was possibly wearing a light tan, plaid shirt and light colored slacks. The suspect faces robbery and assault with a weapon charges when he is apprehended.
