Corporate Counsel's 22nd Annual General Counsel Conference to Take Place June 8-9 in New York City
NEW YORK - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Corporate Counsel will present its 22nd
Annual General Counsel Conference June 8-9 at The New York Marriott
Marquis in New York City. The conference keynote, "Aftershocks from the
Financial Earthquake: Surprises, Challenges and Life After the Financial
Crisis," will be delivered by Alan J. Kreczko, executive
vice president and general counsel, The Hartford Financial Services
Group, Inc. In 2009, Corporate Counsel named The Hartford's law

Kreczko has overseen the company's law department and government affairs
group since 2007. Prior to joining The Hartford in 2003, he held various
senior positions within the United States Government. Until 2002, he was
the acting assistant secretary of state for population, refugees and
migration, where he led the State Department's response to humanitarian
crises in conflict situations, including Afghanistan, Timor, Sudan and
West Africa. Prior to that, he had served as legal advisor to President
Clinton's National Security Council. He has also served as deputy
general counsel to the Department of State and as legal advisor to the
President of the United States' personal representatives for Middle East
negotiations. Kreczko earned his J.D. from University of Michigan Law
School and a B.A. from Boston College.
