Memex among Key Exhibitors at LEIU/IALEIA Orlando Conference
STERLING, Va. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Memex,
Inc., a leading provider of intelligence management, data
sharing, data integration, search and analysis solutions, announced
today its support of the annual LEIU/IALEIA
Training Conference on May 3-7, 2010, at the Hilton in the Walt
Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla. The law
enforcement conference theme is entitled, "Criminal Intelligence:
It's a Big World After All!"
The Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Units (LEIU) and
International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts
(IALEIA) bring together internationally recognized speakers and other
leaders in the intelligence
community for training related to criminal intelligence, international
terrorism, legal issues in intelligence, organized crime and gangs,
and information sharing among law enforcement, including Suspicious
Activity Reporting (SAR).
As a premier provider of software and services that enable law
enforcement agencies to manage and retrieve intelligence preventing all
scales of crime, Memex is once again exhibiting at this key industry
conference.
"The LEIU/IALEIA training session convenes the brightest minds in law
enforcement, criminal intelligence and information
exchange," said Neil Schlisserman, Vice President of Americas for
Memex. "We are honored to again play a role in this noteworthy
conference and look forward to gleaning new insights from law
enforcement colleagues."
Memex has placed a great deal of emphasis on compatibility and
compliance with existing law enforcement systems. Its intelligence
platform provides a single-source portal for analyzing RMS (Records
Management Systems), CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch), Intelligence, SAR,
open source and other data sources - whether via data
integration, federated access, or a hybrid approach. This
compatibility empowers intelligence officers and staff with the
capability to seamlessly examine all the data in one place, using the
same data mining tools and user interface, rather than having to log on
and off different systems.
One of the key areas of Memex's focus at the conference is SAR.
Memex believes that SAR can be pursued without compromising civil
liberties through objective access to data and competent, valid police
investigations. Efforts to develop a national SAR standard also will
support uniformity and best practices.
