Rally for the Troops
"Rally for the Troops" is an old phrase from yesteryear yet as important today as then. Operation Interdependence® a 501C3 nonprofit organization - a community organization - that supports the troops, needs your help.
Operation Interdependence ships boxes every month to commanders with enough Civilian Rations for each person in their unit so no one is left out; for many it is the only communication they receive from home.
The problem is our cupboards are nearly as bare as Old Mother Hubbard's and we need your help. Just make a Civilian Ration® also known as a C-Rat® or collect products and we will make the C-Rats for you.
A C-Rat is a zip lock quart bag with a note from a stranger or a drawing by someone not old enough to write and a few small comfort items.
Some of the most sought after items are:
FOOD
Powdered drink mixes (water is terrible)
Condiments (salt, pepper, hot sauce etc,)
Beef Jerky Hand sanitizer
Gum/Candy (nothing twist wrapped)
Snack Bars/ Nuts
NON FOOD
New panty hose (to protect their weapons from dirt/dust)
Rubber bands (to help hold on the panty hose)
Chapstick (must be factory sealed)
Toothbrushes (disposable kind also)
Just use your imagination, remember it must fit in a quart size baggie.
One C-Rat made by each family member, your neighbors, school class mates, organizations, churches, synagogues, fellow workers, one and all, just one bag from each will help Operation Interdependence continue to support the troops.
