Alan Register Appointed BBVA Compass Birmingham City President

Register has been with BBVA Compass for nine years and most recently served as executive vice president and Birmingham corporate banking manager. In his new position, Register will be responsible for leading all commercial banking activities in Birmingham, including commercial, medical, governmental and non-profit, and commercial and residential real estate. Additionally, he will oversee business development and community involvement for BBVA Compass in Birmingham and the surrounding area.

"Alan has a proven track record as a strong leader and as the new Birmingham City President, I know he will work hard to continue moving forward BBVA Compass' business success and community commitment in the Birmingham area," said Smith.

Register is a graduate of Samford University, where he received a bachelor's degree in finance. Along with his professional pursuits, he works with various community and volunteer organizations throughout Birmingham, including the Breast Cancer Foundation of Alabama, United Way and Oak Mountain Youth Baseball.
