A long-time customer favorite, Reforest Teak's durable, elegant teak planters are constructed of plantation-grown teak wood (Tectona grandis), sustainably harvested from mixed species reforestation projects in Costa Rica. Each 100 percent teak planter features 3/8" thick by 3" wide sides, 1" teak wood bottoms and marine-grade stainless steel reinforcement bands hidden beneath upper and lower horizontal detailing for maximum strength. To allow for proper drainage and healthy plant growth, planters are drilled with half-inch drainage holes and raised on cleats. Soil stays in place with help from the included dual-layer, water permeable landscaping fabric liner. No watertight liner is required thanks to teak's natural durability.

Reforest Teak's custom and standard-size teak planters are completely handmade in Central America by local craftspeople with a time-honored tradition of fine woodworking. Over time, each long-wearing planter weathers to a silvery gray patina. Teak can also be treated with a teak sealer to preserve its original golden color, or stained or painted.

All custom teak planters are individually made to order and arrive fully assembled, with a delivery time of four to six weeks.
