TicketLiquidator's Ticket of the Week: UFC 115 Tickets

TicketLiquidator, the leading provider of the
world's most extensive online ticket inventory of hard-to-find, low-priced
tickets, today announced that it has UFC 115 tickets available
where most markets have sold out. The fight, set for June 12, 2010 at General Motors Place
(tickets), home of the Vancouver Canucks
(tickets), in Vancouver, British Columbia, will feature confirmed main
card fighters Chuck Liddell and Rich Franklin going head to head in the
Light Heavyweight bout.
UFC 115 will be the first time that Ultimate Fighting Championship fans can
see the competition in Western Canada. Promoters of the event have been
walking on a tightrope for the past few months because regulations hadn't
been approved to professionally promote UFC within Vancouver. However,
according to Trevor Crawley of the Vancouver Courier, the Vancouver City
Council passed a motion in December 2009 to sanction MMA events giving UFC
115 the green light.
UFC 115 tickets have been the fastest selling UFC tickets in the history of
the sport, breaking the record set by UFC 83 featuring Welterweight
Champions Matt Serra and Georges St-Pierre. The original bill for UFC 115
set season eleven UFC coaches Tito Ortiz (tickets)
against Liddell -- no reason has been given for the Ortiz pull so far.
"The Ortiz vs. Liddell matchup would have been exciting for UFC fans
indeed," stated Alexandra Owens, Media Relations, TicketLiquidator.
"However, with multiple wins by knockout, Rich Franklin will be an equally
challenging powerhouse. UFC 115 tickets have become the hottest commodity
in ultimate fighting to date and as such we're expecting a gruesome and
exciting fight."
Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell, who began studying Koei-Kan at age twelve,
became a Division I wrestler at California Polytechnic State University
before studying Brazilian jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts. Since then, he
has tallied a 21-7 professional record and placed second in most UFC wins
under Ortiz. Liddell also appeared on season nine of "Dancing with the Stars"
(tickets) and TV shows including "Punk'd" and "Entourage."
Rich "Ace" Franklin was initially a self taught fighter, learning
submission fighting from instructional tapes. He earned a masters degree in
mathematics and taught high school math before embarking on a career in
MMA. The former UFC Middleweight Champion boasts 27-5-0 1 NC record and has
starred in the sci-fi thriller "Cyborg Soldier." According to UFC's
official site, Franklin has said "Chuck [Liddell] is a gamer. He is a
professional...I'm going to give everything I have and I look forward to
giving fans a great fight in Vancouver."
Main Card fights leading up to the top card include Mirko Filipovic vs. Pat
Barry for the Heavyweight bout, Paulo Thiago vs. Martin Kampmann and Carlos
Condit vs. Rory MacDonald for the Welterweight bouts and Tyson Griffin vs.
Evan Dunham for the Lightweight bout. With UFC 115 tickets selling quicker
than any UFC event in years past, UFC 115 tickets are the
TicketLiquidator Ticket of the Week.
