Software AG 2010 Supply Chain Summit Delivers Real-World Insight Into Efficiency, Visibility, and Control
RESTON, Va. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Software AG today announced its 2010 Supply Chain Summit will be held
April 21-22 at Gaylord Texan Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. This
event brings together Business and IT to see real-world examples of the
latest advances and practices in supply chain management that lead to
operational excellence. Attendees will learn how to capture and leverage
key performance metrics to transform their supply chain from a business
challenge into a competitive advantage.
The latest capabilities to optimize supply chain performance will be a
key focus of the Summit, offering practical and pragmatic approaches for
continuous process improvement and enabling attendees to drive
operational excellence in their organizations through the use of B2B,
Business Activity Monitoring (BAM), and Business Process Management
(BPM) technologies.
"Business and IT leaders are coming together from across industries to
share insights and best practices in supply chain optimization," said
Bruce Williams, Senior Vice President of Strategic Programs, Software
AG. "It's in the opportunity to learn from organizations that have
achieved real and measurable success where this event delivers real
value."
Participants will walk away with best practices, such as how to achieve
end-to-end visibility across the entire supply chain, discover critical
bottlenecks, and identify new areas for improvement. This Summit is an
opportunity to learn how to operate more efficiently on a real-time,
informed basis; flag potential issues; and take immediate corrective
action. By taking a proactive and proven approach, companies can gain
control over their supply chain and make management by exception a
reality.
"The lack of visibility into supply chains leads directly to decreased
efficiencies, increased costs, and loss of competitive advantage,"
Williams said. "The participants in the Supply Chain Summit are
targeting these challenges by sharing practical information, examples of
successes, and take-away skills for supply-chain integration and
optimization."
The keynote address "Finding the Big Payback in Your Supply Chain" by
Allen Johnson, featured Research Director, Industrial & Consumer Value
Chain at AMR Research Inc., will explore BAM as a crucial part of
managing the supply chain. BAM technology enables companies to perform
root cause analysis of deviant key performance indicators (KPIs) by
pointing to events that are linked to KPIs and underlying processes that
are represented in multi-tier dashboards for line, operational and
C-level management. This provides the ability to drive large efficiency
gains, which is the real reason to drive for visibility.
After the morning group sessions, the forum will break into two
concurrent tracks. Representatives from the U.S. Navy, Aviall Services,
TechStone Technology Partners, Quadrem, and Manhattan Associates, as
well as BPM experts from Software AG and IDS Scheer will discuss how to
identify and leverage supply chain metrics to drive financial and
operational improvement, gaining visibility into KPIs and processes
necessary for supply chain optimization, orchestrating accounts payable
processing, ERP architecture integration, and supply chain managed
services.
