NEEM Announces a New Opportunity for Connecticut Ratepayers to Save 10-25% on Heating & Air Conditioning Costs
DANBURY, Conn. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - New England Energy Management, Inc. (NEEM) an approved General Partner
in The State of Connecticut's DPUC Electric Efficiency Partner Program
(EEP) was recently granted approval to market PaceControls' PACE2/PACE3
product suites.
The Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR)
Duty Cycle Optimization technology features controls to be utilized to
retrofit existing compressors used in Large residential homes, Retail,
Commercial, Industrial, State and Municipal buildings heating,
ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems to improve
energy efficiency by reducing the compressor run time to an optimum
operating period. The controller causes the compressor to operate more
efficiently by determining the optimum compression cycle for the HVAC
refrigerant and turning the compressor off for a longer time during the
new cycle period. The reduced cycle and shorter compressor run time
reduces the refrigerant unit's demand and energy use while maintaining
the original thermostatic set points. The Department approved an
incentive level of $46 per ton, capped at $625 per unit, for this
technology, which assures the 2:1 payback threshold is supported.
Savings of 10-20% for Gas Heating and 15-25% for Air Conditioning can be
realized through the EEP Program. In addition to sizable incentives, the
EEP Program also offers financing to qualified applicants. This enables
efficiency measures to be installed with no upfront capital, allowing
the energy savings to pay for the improvements.
About the Electric Efficiency Partner Program (EEP):
The Partners Program offers funding for the deployment of demand-side
management technologies that conserve energy and reduce Connecticut's
peak electric demand.
The Department approves Electric Partners, the companies that implement
the program, and Partner Technologies, energy efficient technologies
that generally do not qualify for incentives under the programs funded
by the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund.
About NEEM:
