April 30, 2011: The Show Choir World is Filled With Glee as Fame Events Announces the National Show Choir Finals

Regional Show Choir qualifying competitions will take place in Hollywood, Orlando, New York City, Chicago, and Branson.

The top three finalists will receive an automatic bid to the "National Show Choir Finals" in Indianapolis on April 30, 2011. These student participants will have their admission into the event sponsored, along with their hotel accomodations provided by the National Show Choir Finals' Producer, FAME Events.

Joel Biggs, President of FAME Events introduced MENC Deputy Director, Earl Hurrey at the National Show Choir Cup Championship in Chicago last week. Mr. Hurrey announced that "MENC and FAME Events will be working closely to ensure that this is the most educationally sound Show Choir program in the world.".

The popular television series "Glee" as well as programs like "American Idol" have engergized the Show Choir world. Once limited only to the Midwest, Southeast and parts of California, Show Choir interest is expanding in other schools and communities across the U.S.
