"The eccentricity of Historic Folsom is the perfect backdrop to display our art," says Folsom Arts Association President Lori Anderson. "We are so excited to be part in this new community event." Most shops will extend business hours during Second Saturday and will be hosting sidewalk sales. "Many of our businesses are usually only open during the day, so Second Saturday is a great opportunity for people to visit our stores in the evening," says Folsom Historic District Manager Shannon Cheyne.
A special tasting walk, featuring wine, cheese and chocolate, is also happening between 4 pm to 9 pm. In addition, most of the taverns, wine bars and restaurants will be offering Second Saturday menus and entertainment. The Black Rooster, which typically closes at 4 pm, will be open and offering small plates and Bellini cocktails.
The Sutter Street Theatre will perform Into the Woods, a musical comedy, at 8 pm. Tickets can be purchased by calling 353-1001 or www.sutterstreettheatre.com.

The Lake Natoma Inn, located in Historic Folsom, is offering special room rates for those who want to stay the night in Historic Folsom.
