Folsom Arts Association is an event partner and will be displaying art in businesses on Sutter Street. "The eccentricity of Historic Folsom is the perfect backdrop to display our art," says Folsom Arts Association President Lori Anderson. "We are so excited to be part in this new community event." The art walk will begin at the Sutter Street Steakhouse, 604 Sutter Street and will conclude at the Folsom History Museum, 823 Sutter Street. There are twelve stops on the walk, which is self led.

Most shops will extend business hours during Second Saturday and will be hosting sidewalk sales. "Many of our businesses are usually only open during the day, so Second Saturday is a great opportunity for people to visit our stores in the evening," says Folsom Historic District Manager Shannon Cheyne.
A special tasting walk, featuring wine, cheese and chocolate, is also happening between 4 pm to 9 pm. In addition, most of the taverns, wine bars and restaurants will be offering Second Saturday menus and entertainment. The Black Rooster, which typically closes at 4 pm, will be open and offering small plates and Bellini cocktails.

The Sutter Street Theatre will perform Into the Woods, a musical comedy, at 8 pm. Tickets can be purchased by calling 353-1001 or www.sutterstreettheatre.com.
