AiM(TM) by AssetWorks Answers the COBie2 Challenge

  Share With Friends

AssetWorks today announced that its Enterprise Asset Management solution, AiM, has answered the COBie2 Challenge and is now recognized as "COBIE-compliant."

The COBie2 Challenge tests for compatibility with the Construction Operations Building Information Exchange (COBIE) data format. COBIE, a facilities management communications protocol, is being promoted by the National Institute for Building Sciences (NIBS) and buildingSMART alliance. The challenge demonstrates how enterprise asset management, computerized maintenance management systems, computer aided facility management and computer aided design and drafting programs handle facility data in a real-world, real-time environment.

"Being able to demonstrate AiM's compliance with COBIE enables our customers to use AssetWorks products with confidence," stated Ken Slaughter, Senior Vice President of AssetWorks. "Our clients receive the highest quality solutions that also enable them to save money by strengthening communications and solving the all-too-common problem of fragmented documentation throughout project management."
