The Tea Party Movement Reaches a New Low

By

The Tea Bagging - er - Tea Party movements have reached a new low.

Detractors of the proposed health care bill stood outside the Capitol Saturday doing their usual protest. However, this movement reached a climax of idiocy.

US Representative John Lewis of Georgia, a supporter of the bill and civil rights icon, left a building across from the Capitol to a cacophony of the usual "kill the bill" chants. The protesters, upon seeing Lewis, added a new word to their loud, hateful rhetoric: "N*gger."

The Teabagging constituents are known for this kind of idiotic bigotry, once confronting openly gay Rep. Barney Frank and calling him a "faggot."

An outcry was heard from the Tea Party sympathizers when former President Jimmy Carter said that this movement and much hostility toward Obama was charged by racism last September. Incidents like this only further prove what Carter said, and further incriminate the ones who reacted harshly to Carter's statement.

Why can't these people have a peaceful protest? Those "n*ggers" you Teabaggers attempt to demean and debase so often were the ones who peacefully protested for the freedom they deserved. They didn't have to scream "CRACKER!" They didn't have to lash out in a showing of ultimate frustration and contempt.

If I were a Republican, I'd be embarrassed to have any number of my constituents belonging to this racist, elitist and misanthropic cause. However, it seems like a lot of Republicans embrace this movement and that speaks volumes of their ineptitude.

It's sad to see that these Teabaggers are so desperate to get their word out that they need to resort to using ethnic slurs. John Lewis was damn near beaten to death in his quest for civil rights; he doesn't deserve to still have to hear the bigotry of yesteryear. NO ONE deserves to have to hear that kind of shameful hate speech.

How do members of the Tea Party movement find any pride in what they do? They're somehow content with their hateful rhetoric and extreme measures, yet African Americans peacefully and quietly protested for what they rightfully deserved. I agree wholeheartedly with freedom of assembly and speech, but once you start making ethnic slurs I say the line has to be drawn.

Go back to Mississippi and spew your hatred, Teabaggers.
