Two Army Officers Die in Kashmir

Srinagar, March 20: The Indian army lost two officers in Indian administered Kashmir on Saturday.
"Major Joginder Shekhawat belonging to army's counter insurgency Rashtriya Rifles battalion was killed in an accidental grenade blast in Kangan, some 25 kms from Srinagar. The grenade he was handling exploded in his hand, causing his death at the scene," Indian army spokesman, Lt Col J S Brar said.
He said army has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
Meanwhile, another army officer died in his room in mountainous Leh region of Kashmir.
"A dental officer Captain Vivek Agnihotri lost his life when he slipped and fell in his bathroom and his head hit a blunt object," army spokesman said.
He said investigations are in progress, to ascertain more details.
