Mornington, Australia, March 20, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In recent times people throughout the globe have shown heightened interest in the events and individuals that shaped the history of the great Australian Nation. Australians have a keen interest in the stories of the past; a past that screams out to be heard through the voices of their forebears, white, black, rich and dirt poor, each with its own fascinating tale and certainty of righteousness.

"A Line Of Dogs" transports readers back to experience a fascinating part of Irish and Australian history through the eyes, minds and hearts of those who lived it. This romantic saga is set in the turbulent times of the mid nineteenth century, when major world powers fought for domination, racing to claim new lands and plundering all that they found. It is a gripping tale of the oppressed, dispossessed and a few who stood up for the cause of liberty and justice, interwoven with a story of enduring love and loyalty.

Through two continents and four countries, this fast paced novel of love, lust, rape, murder and intrigue is sure to get the pulse racing.

Tim McGrath has a passion for Ireland and a hatred of the English that form an explosive combination. He sees himself as a type of "Robin Hood," taking from the ruling English classes to help the Irish poor, but somehow life rarely seems to go according to his plans.

Mary McGrath is a beautiful young girl, forced to leave a potato famine ravished Ireland to find refuge in England, only to be thrust into the middle of a nightmare of hatred, rape and despair. Life tosses her from one escapade to another but she is determined to find love and happiness. Can she succeed against a system that is determined to bring her down?

Queenie makes her living as a harlot in London's red light district. She becomes Mary's best friend, sharing the tribulations of being on the run from the law and the privations of prison life.

John Hammersley is a London rogue who makes his living mending shoes – and robbing houses. He has no altruistic motives, simply figuring that some people can afford to lose a little in order to help him a lot.

Wurrindi has survived the genocide of his people and yearns to pass on the heritage that threatens to die with him.

These characters and many more are thrown together in a series of events that lead inexorably toward an exciting climax.
