Comprehensive e-Learning Modules Provide Solid Foundation of Selling Skills for Wireless Phones and Accessories; e-Learning Allows Wireless Carriers, Manufacturers and Independent Agents to Improve Employee Proficiency While Reducing Training Cost

Retail Business Development (RBD), a leader in outsourced retail management and training for the wireless and telecommunications industry, is showcasing its full line of e-Learning modules designed for wireless retail sales organizations at the CTIA Trade Show in Las Vegas from March 23rd through March 25th, 2010 (Booth #6221).

RBD's Selling Skills e-Learning modules are based on the company's "7-Steps to Successful Selling" instructor-led training programs. This proven selling methodology takes learners from the very beginning of preparing for the sale, all the way through closing skills, add-on sales and asking for referrals. Each module is designed to build upon the previous module, ensuring that learners gain complete understanding of the selling process. Learners can then adopt the best practices that lead to increased sales, higher levels of customer satisfaction and a confident, professionally trained employee.

The e-Learning Sales Modules include:

  • Preparing to Sell
  • Greeting Customers
  • Building Rapport and Relationships
  • Asking Qualifying Questions
  • Presenting your Products and Services
  • Asking for the Sale (Closing Skills)
  • Overcoming Customer Objections
  • Asking for Referrals
  • Selling Accessories and Add-Ons

Each module ranges from 20 to 30 minutes in length, making it easy for employees to fit into their existing work schedule with little disruption. Participants can take courses from any PC or laptop with a high-speed internet connection. The modules are all SCORM compliant and either on Retail Business Development's custom developed Learning Management System (LMS) or can be hosted on a client's LMS. All modules include periodic testing and interactive quizzes to keep the participants engaged and to check for understanding. Full reporting is available for management to see progress by employee, test scores, time to completion and other metrics.

"Loaded with real-world examples, and derived from our decades of experience in the wireless retail and training space, the RBD e-Learning modules give our clients a powerful new tool. Organizations large and small can utilize our e-Learning modules to reduce costs associated with training, to ensure that everyone on the team is following an effective and consistent sales process, and to accelerate the on-boarding and orientation of new hires," said Kevin Killoran, COO of Retail Business Development.

Retail Business Development's standard e-Learning modules are available to retail and wireless operations both large and small. Standard courses can be purchased directly from the company's web site at www.retailbusinessdevelopment.com. Additionally, RBD develops customized versions of the courses and assists clients with the implementation of comprehensive Learning Management Systems. Further offerings include custom integrated e-Learning, Instructor-led and University style programs for larger scale deployments.

Retail Business Development offers the industry's most comprehensive suite of services designed to help carriers, manufacturers and suppliers better support their distribution channels; and wireless business owners and cellular dealers maximize the profitability and net worth of their businesses. The company has worked with some of the top names in the industry including Sprint, Clearwire, Samsung, MetroPCS, DirecTV, Vonage, Wireless Zone, Open Mobile and many others.

The company's Sales and Executive team will be attending the CTIA Trade Show in Las Vegas from March 23rd to March 26th, 2010. Contact Frank Boyle for more information or visit Booth #6221 in the Retail Zone Pavilion.
