BioImagene Partners with LigoLab to Develop Workflow Solution for Digital Pathology and Laboratory Information Systems

The Virtuoso LigoLab integration provides pathologists access to relevant case and patient information when working with digital slides, the ability to use an extensive list of computer-assisted image analysis tools, and embed images and quantitative results in comprehensive laboratory reports.

"This integration offers efficiency improvements in routine case sign-out. Pathologists now have access to complete case/patient history and additionally to whole-slide scanned images. It also offers integration of computer assisted interpretation of slides with selected images in comprehensive laboratory reports that are delivered to the clinician," said Suren Avunjian, senior vice president of marketing and sales at LigoLab. Demonstrations of the new Virtuoso LigoLab interface will be available at BioImagene's Booth 101 at the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) Annual Meeting, which is taking place March 22-24, 2010, at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C.
