Retirement Wealth Know-How: The Web's 12 Best Investor Education Resources for Older Investors

These investors and others will benefit from a major new resource being made available today from the nonprofit Alliance for Investor Education (AIE) highlighting 12 of the best Web-based resources for older investors looking to grow, protect and manage their retirement savings. The Alliance's new "Retirement Wealth Know-How: Investor Education for Seniors" is available at http://www.investoreducation.org/retirementwealth.

AIE is the organization of the 20 leading U.S. financial-related foundations, nonprofit organizations, associations and governmental agencies.

Alliance for Investor Education President Dallas Salisbury, who also serves as president and CEO of the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI) and chairman of the American Savings Education Council (ASEC), said: "Americans at or approaching retirement age have different needs from those in other life stages. While some will continue to put as much as they can into savings or lower risk investments, others who have already retired need to know how to manage their savings and investments to make them last. Senior investors are often particularly targeted by con artists. Members of the Alliance are devoted to raising awareness of the ways that those who are nearing or already in retirement can strengthen and protect their retirement nest egg."
