Two-Piece Bikini Uniform A Must If Women's Volleyball Is To Survive
By Robert Paul Reyes
"A three-time Olympian from California says the two-piece bikinis sported by many beach volleyball players are more than fashion, they're function.
Holly McPeak, 39, who brought home the bronze from the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, said players are given the option of wearing a more modest one-piece uniform but that choice comes with some uncomfortable side-effects, ABC News reported Monday.
'When you dive, the sand goes down the top and collects in the bottom,' she said."UPI
The bikinis sported by most beach volleyball players are more than fashion and function, they are an absolute necessity if the thriving sport is to retain its popularity. If too may women switch to the more modest one-piece bathing suit the ratings will plummet.
Volleyball may be a serious sport played by professionals, but it's also eye candy. Remove the eye candy, and most guys won't give a flying fig about women's volleyball.
The one-piece suit tends to collect sand in the bottom, some dudes may like their women with junk in the trunk, but this is ridiculous.
I have all due respect for the professionalism and dedication that female volleyball players have for their sport, but give up wearing the bikini, and your sport is history.
