Governor Crist Appoints Jordan Zimmerman as a Trustee to the University of South Florida

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Florida Governor Charlie Crist re-appointed Kathleen Shanahan to the Florida Board of Education and named Jordan Zimmerman and Byron E. Shinn to the University of South Florida board of trustees.

Mr. Zimmerman, who is the Founder and Chairman of Zimmerman Advertising, completed his undergraduate and graduate work at USF. It was when he entered the school's MBA program and began his thesis work that he developed the Brandtailing(TM) platform that is still the foundation of the eponymously named agency today. Mr. Zimmerman currently endows the Zimmerman Advertising Program at USF and is a frequent guest lecturer on campus. Most recently, Mr. Zimmerman was instrumental in creating a new business advertising degree program - USF is the only school in the country that offers separate business and mass communication tracks for students pursuing an advertising degree.

Senate confirmation is required for all appointments. Mr. Zimmerman's term starts immediately and continues until January of 2015.
