LOUISVILLE, Ky. & NEW YORK - (BUSINESS WIRE) - VibrantNation.com, the leading online community for smart, successful women over 50, today announced that Susan Onaitis, long-time volunteer for Dress for Success, a non-profit organization that provides professional attire and career development tools for disadvantaged women, has been named Vibrant Nation's "Vibrant Giver" for March 2010.

In 1996 as Susan Onaitis was starting Global Learning Link, her own corporate sales training business, she knew that she wanted to balance her life by giving back. After reading a 1997 article in the New York Times about the founder of Dress for Success, she immediately got more information and started showing up at their office on Fridays to help. Since then she has offered mentoring, training and interview coaching, has helped dress clients as a Personal Shopper, and has participated in numerous fundraising events.

"While I have always volunteered throughout my life, Dress for Success is such a grassroots and direct way to help women who need it," said Onaitis. "Having spent 16 years of my career in corporate America, I feel I have a lot to share with Dress for Success clients. It is terrifically rewarding to see a client achieve her goals and experience success in her life."

Dress for Success promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. With operations in more than 100 cities around the world, Dress for Success has helped more than 500,000 women work towards self-sufficiency.

"Susan Onaitis is one of many Vibrant Women who not only runs her own business but makes time to give back to her community," said Stephen Reily, founder and CEO, VibrantNation.com. "Her selfless attitude is making a difference now more than ever in the lives of many women searching for employment in a tough economic environment."
