Dallas Pottery Invitational Announces Featured Artists
DALLAS - (BUSINESS WIRE) - The Dallas
Pottery Invitational, a unique and prestigious functional pottery
show & sale, today announced the eleven featured artists who will be
participating in the event. This year, six ceramic artists from outside
Texas join five outstanding Texas potters. The artists are: Michael
Corney, Albuquerque, NM; Brian R. Jones, Portland OR; Gwendolyn Yoppolo,
Helena, MT; Simon Levin, Gresham, WI; Amy Halko, Sonoma County, CA; Kent
McLaughlin, Bakersville, NC; Gary C. Hatcher, Daphne Roehr Hatcher,
Brenda Lichman, Lisa Orr and Louise Rosenfield, all of Texas. Artist

The work of this diverse group will provide attendees with a unique
overview of the field of functional ceramists today. "Using hand made
pottery every day offers the potential for a moment of reverie, giving
you the opportunity to examine an often-overlooked aspect of daily life

Rosenfield.
The Third Annual Dallas Pottery Invitational is set for April 9-11, 2010
at The Janette Kennedy Gallery, South Side on Lamar, 1409 South Lamar
Street Dallas, Texas 75215.
The opening reception will be held on Friday evening, April 9th, 7pm -
9pm. Attendees can enjoy music by the Greg Ray Jazz Combo, fine wines
and hors d'oeuvres with the featured artists. The show & sale will
continue on April 10th from 10am - 5pm and on April 11th
from 12 noon - 5pm.

The Dallas Pottery Invitational is an annual spring show & sale that has
