Hollywood stars Sylvester Stallone (Rocky) and Denise Richards (The World is not enough) have won Hollywood Razzies equivalent "Golden Kela Awards", given annually for the worst performance in Bollywood.

They won what is called "BAAWRA ho gaya hai ke Award" (Have you gone CRAZY Award) for performances in romantic comedy "Kambakkht Ishq" (Unfortunate Love), defeating Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Nikhil Advani, and Nagesh Kukunoor, who were also nominated in this category. "Kambakkht Ishq" won two other awards, including worst film.

Stallone and Richards were not present at the gala, held in India's capital New Delhi on Friday night. Actor and stand-up comedian Cyrus Broacha (Little Zizou) presided - he was awarded the "Cyrus Broacha Memorial Award".

Indo-American statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that Stallone and Richards should have attended the gala and showed courage in acknowledging the allegations of the Awards organization, thus making it a learning experience. Being humble was highly honorable, said Zed, the chairman of the Indo-American Leadership Confederation.

Abbas Tyrewala, nominated in the "most atrocious lyrics award" category, for "Chiggy Wiggy" from the film "Blue", which was performed by Australian actress-singer Kylie Minogue (Neighbours), did not win. Warner Bros "Chandni Chowk to China" won three "Golden Kela Awards", including the "Insensitivity Award".

Stallone has been nominated for 30 Razzies (and won eight), more than double his nearest competitor Kevin Costner. Denise Richards has received a Razzie for "worst supporting actress".

The "Kela" Awards website says: "Like complaining about the government, skipping over pot-holes and peeing wherever you feel like, tolerating Bollywood is a part of Indian life ... Many times you see films that aren't even good enough to mention in decent company. This is where we come in, the Golden Kelas, striving to celebrate the best of the worst, the finest of the crappiest, and the gooiest kelas in the whole filmy bunch!"

"Kela" means "banana" in Hindi. These Awards were launched in 2008 for worst in Bollywood. Razzies (Golden Raspberry Awards) for the worst in film started in 1981.
