Steven Seagal: Lawman: The Complete Season One features all 13 episodes with deleted scenes that chronicles the veteran action superstar as a reserve deputy sheriff in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.

When I first heard that Steven Seagal: Lawman was going to be on A&E, I thought this show is going to be what Walker, Texas Ranger was for Chuck Norris: a comeback on the small screen. My second response was that Lawman will be similar to Walker: a modern-day Western about an old-school cop that uses Aikido to fight criminals with a positive message week after week. For over two decades onscreen, Seagal's image is the soft-spoken hero with a ponytail (not anymore) that has fast reflexes and quick, dry humor. Classics like Above the Law (1988), Hard to Kill (1990), Marked For Death (1990), Out for Justice (1991), and Exit Wounds (2001) shows as the renegade, maverick cop with a short fuse and Lone Ranger mentality.

If you think that Steven Seagal: Lawman is going to be anything like Walker, Texas Ranger, you're going to wish that it was, because "It's no act".

Steven Seagal: Lawman is better off as a scripted series than a reality show.
