VANCOUVER , March 12 /PRNewswire/ - Before going for gold in the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, Caitlin Sarubbi, a visually-impaired adaptive alpine skier from the United States , carried the flame in Vancouver as part of the 2010 Paralympic Torch Relay. It was Caitlin's firefighter father's rescue efforts during the events of 9-11 that led to Caitlin's ski career after disabled children of firefighters were invited to sample the sport of adaptive skiing.
