If an average citizen crashes his car into city hall, there would be a small article in the local paper, but when a celeb stubs her toe or is given a warning for improper driving it makes headlines around the world.
Paris Hilton received only a warning, but the socialite is a hardened criminal, and doesn't deserve lenient treatment. In September 06, the pop tart was arrested and charged with a DUI, and in January 07, she pleaded no contest to a reckless driving charge.
In a perfect world Paris would have been thrown in the slammer for 30 days to spare us from such insightful tweets as "technology rocks." If I tweeted "Paris Hilton Sucks", I bet it would be the most re-tweeted tweet of all time.
