Carvell: From 'Band of Brothers' to 'The Pacific'
Ephrata, PA, March 12, 2010 --(PR.com)-- After the critically acclaimed miniseries 'Band of Brothers', Kevin Carvell, like the rest of the crew, had hope there would be another opportunity to tell the other story of World War II. Carvell and his production and promotional firm had lent assistance on the project which garnered him an honorary Emmy® recognition along with the rest of the crew when 'Band of Brothers' took home the "Outstanding Miniseries" prize in 2002.
"We're thrilled to be back... telling these honest and inspiring stories of sacrifice," Carvell says. "When I work on a project like this, it reminds me why I do what I do. Yeah... sometimes for the laughs, but other times just to tell good solid stories. Gripping stories. Even stories that change you."
As he's done many times over, as a kind of liaison between the fans of the projects and the studios themselves, Carvell is using the publicity that this project is garnering and focusing it on causes that matter to him and many others. This time around he's been using this platform to encourage everyone to make a difference my donating to The National World War II Museum and Disabled American Veterans. "It's important to educate future generations about the sacrifices our fathers and grandfathers made. And whether you agree with the battles being fought today, it's important to look after our wounded brave men and women that continue to put their lives on the line," says Carvell.
