Betty White To Host Saturday Night Live May 8! You Go Girl!

"It's official: Betty White will host NBC's 'Saturday Night Live' on May 8, WNBC News announced Thursday morning.
Besides featuring the Golden Girl, who was the subject of a Facebook campaign to get her the gig, the special Mother's Day episode will also reunite six former female 'SNL' cast members, most of whom happen to be moms: Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer and Rachel Dratch." Betty White, 88, has been a star for decades, she is most fondly remembered for her television roles as Sue Ann Nivens on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rose Nyland on "The Golden Girls."
But a Super Bowl Snickers ad introduced the TV legend to a new generation of fans. Betty White appeared in the commercial for just a few seconds, but that was enough for the youngsters to appreciate her genius. The young tech-savvy fans launched a Facebook campaign for Betty White to host SNL.
Now all of White's fans, which spans all generations, will have the privilege of watching the TV icon host SNL on May 8, 2010.
The world may very well end on 2012, and I am determined to do all the things on my bucket list. Watching Betty White host SNL is definitely way up there on my list.
