Condo Owners Turning to Aegis of Bellevue

BELLEVUE, Wash., March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- A growing number of seniors are selling their condos and turning to new living options. Many in fact are turning to senior living communities, which offer benefits that one just can't get living in a condo. Aegis Living, a national leader in senior, assisted living and memory care communities, in particular has seen a rise in the seniors turning from condos to their communities.

"It is no surprise that seniors are turning to community living because of the many advantages it offers over living on their own," says Dwayne J. Clark, chairman and CEO of Aegis Living. "New residents often express to us the joy they find in having many of the day-to-day elements of life enhanced for them and the joy of new friendships with fellow residents. We recently opened Aegis of Bellevue and this was a sentiment we have heard expressed to us time and again."

Aegis of Bellevue is located at 148 102nd Ave SE in the heart of Old Bellevue just off Main Street. The newly opened community offers assisted living and Life's Neighborhood(TM) apartments, each unique for the residents. Aegis of Bellevue features stunning architecture with welcoming, common areas such as a bistro, library, outdoor gathering places, full exercise room and a state-of-the-art entertainment room.

"I still enjoy cooking, but I had no idea how much I would like going to the dining room every day and having these wonderful meals prepared for me," said Gloria Woodward, a resident of Aegis of Bellevue.

A major benefit to seniors living in a community is companionship. Residents are re-invigorated with life when they find new friends and people to share life's moments.

According to Aegis of Bellevue resident Gert Gordon, "I absolutely love it here at Aegis of Bellevue. I have met my new best friend, who happens to live across the hall from me. We are so delighted to have found each other. And the amenities, why it seems I have a choice every day as to what I want to do, and where I want to be."

Overall as seniors begin to look into living options, many are turning to community living for the services and amenities they offer. But more importantly they are choosing to make life better, to give it purpose, and meaning that can be hard to achieve living in a condominium setting.
