Far Brook School Appoints Amy Miles Ziebarth Next Head of Far Brook School

SHORT HILLS, N.J., March 11 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- After an extensive nationwide search, Far Brook School, an independent, coeducational day school in Short Hills, N.J., announces that the Board of Trustees has unanimously appointed Amy Miles Ziebarth as Head of School, effective July 1st. Ms. Ziebarth has served for the past twelve years as the Executive Director of New Jersey SEEDS, a multi-million dollar non-profit located in Newark, NJ. NJ SEEDS prepares gifted students from financially limited families for placement in independent schools. Before working with NJ SEEDS, Ms. Ziebarth was the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at Kent Place School in Summit, New Jersey, where she also taught American History and Russian Studies.

Ms. Ziebarth's work at NJ SEEDS has received widespread recognition. Delbarton School named her Educator of the Year in 2001. NJ SEEDS was awarded the national Mutual of America Community Partnership Award in 2006 and was recognized by the Oprah Winfrey Angel Network with a grant of $100,000.

John Green, a member of the NJ SEEDS Board of Trustees and Head of School at Peddie School in nearby Hightstown, describes Ms. Ziebarth as "a bright, thoughtful, and compassionate educator, who possesses a unique range of professional experiences.
