CompanionLink Announces Desktop Synchronization With Motorola CLIQ XT

Sync Contacts, Calendar, Notes and Tasks to Motorola CLIQ XT

CompanionLink® Software announces two-way synchronization and backup between PCs and Motorola® CLIQ XT™ with MOTOBLUR™. CompanionLink synchronizes contacts, calendar, tasks, and notes from PC to the CLIQ XT in two ways -- secure wired sync and automatic wireless sync via Google. PC software such as Microsoft® Outlook®, Outlook Business Contact Manager, IBM® Lotus Notes, ACT! by Sage, Novell® GroupWise, and Palm® Desktop are supported.

CompanionLink's wired USB sync with CLIQ XT works through an Android app that runs on the phone. The app has custom calendar, tasks, and notes modules, while contacts sync to the native contact database on the CLIQ XT. CompanionLink's wireless sync to CLIQ XT via Google lets people sync their contacts and calendar data to Google, which then syncs with the phone through its wireless data connection. Two-way sync is supported in both methods so that changes made on the phone are updated in the desktop software.
