Globecomm Receives Media Infrastructure Contract Valued at $4.6 Million
HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Globecomm
Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: GCOM), a leading global provider of
satellite-based communications infrastructure solutions and services,
announced today that the Company has received an infrastructure contract
valued at $4.6 million.
Pursuant to the terms set forth in the contract, Globecomm will act as a
general contractor to provide a new, next generation, media data center.
Systems to be provided include conversion of analog, standard
definition, and high definition video feeds to Internet Protocol
streaming formats realized by the Globecomm network design. Globecomm
Systems' AxxSys Orion Network Management System monitor and control
software will provide local and remote network management.
