Computer Guidance Corporation Releases Its Portal Application
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Computer Guidance Corporation, the leading developer of financial and
project management software solutions for architecture, engineering and
construction companies, announced today the release of its Portal
application, an advanced productivity tool integrated with its eCMS
construction management software suite.
A significant advance over a standard dashboard, the portal application
uses Web-based technology, which enables it to function as an Internet
portal with access to other Internet sites. As a result, it not only
launches the user's construction management application, it also drives
third-party applications that can be launched from any Uniform Resource
Locator (URL).
The Portal application also provides immediate access to data from any
Internet site, such as streaming video from a company's job site webcams
or the most recent weather report. The user can configure the
application to post alerts - for example, pertaining to budget or
schedule - to the portal itself, e-mail, and/or text message. Users can
configure the software with multiple columns for their applications.
"Our new Portal application puts the vast resources of the World Wide
Web at the fingertips of contracting executives, financial officers and
project managers," said Roger D. Kirk, President and CEO, Computer
Guidance Corporation. "Immediate access to information helps them run
their businesses more effectively and, ultimately, more profitably."
The Portal application is one of 28 integrated applications that
are part of the Computer Guidance eCMS enterprise-class solution. The
eCMS solution provides improved monitoring and analysis of not only
financial, but also operating performance, with advanced functions for
tracking subcontractor performance, document compliance and contract
management.
