Computer Guidance Corporation Releases Its Portal Application

A significant advance over a standard dashboard, the portal application uses Web-based technology, which enables it to function as an Internet portal with access to other Internet sites. As a result, it not only launches the user's construction management application, it also drives third-party applications that can be launched from any Uniform Resource Locator (URL).

The Portal application also provides immediate access to data from any Internet site, such as streaming video from a company's job site webcams or the most recent weather report. The user can configure the application to post alerts - for example, pertaining to budget or schedule - to the portal itself, e-mail, and/or text message. Users can configure the software with multiple columns for their applications.
