2010 San Francisco Flower & Garden Show Highlights

The 25th Annual San Francisco Flower & Garden Show has expanded this year, in size, focus and beauty. Inspirational gardens, hundreds of green living ideas, acres of plants, and the wisdom of renowned garden experts await you at this celebrated Spring garden event. Show dates are March 24-28, at the San Mateo Event Center. The theme for 2010 is Gardens For The Future, so it has been a good time to make changes. New this year:

Victory Garden
Join us as we participate in Victory Gardens Across America. Have lunch under a 10,000sf tent on the grounds outside the Seminar Halls, and enjoy the Victory Garden designed by Tim O'Shea with the help of The Edible Schoolyard, a school garden program of the Chez Panisse Foundation.

Slow Food Plaza
A great example of Thinking Globally & Acting Locally, the Show Victory Garden is teaming with local farms to supply their products to feed show visitors! Dubbed Slow Food Plaza this cool meeting spot will be featured on KGO-TV 7's afternoon show View from the Bay during show week.

Sculpture Garden/Land Art
Across from Slow Food Plaza near the Restaurant and Pressroom will be an extensive outdoor Sculpture Garden, made possible by the involvement of supportive local artists, enthusiasts, and businesses:

Enjoy 20 breathtaking Show Gardens created by leading designers, artists and horticulturists, and featuring ground-breaking garden technologies, like 2-story Conical Garden Walls, and Solar-Powered Ecosystems. Garden Themes include Home Ag/Edible Gardening, Natives, Conservation & Sustainability, Fun, Fresh, Fabulous Design, Small Space Gardening, and Plants, Plants, Plants.

Container Garden Displays & Pocket Parks
