Patient-Specific Surgical Instrumentation Expedites Total Knee Replacement Procedures

WARSAW, Ind., March 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Zimmer Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ZMH; SIX: ZMH), a leader in musculoskeletal care, today showcased its recently released Zimmer® Patient Specific Instruments® (PSI) at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) annual meeting in New Orleans.

Zimmer Patient Specific Instruments utilize MRI technology and pre-operative planning tools to create customized cutting guides that are tailored to each patient's unique anatomy. Customized guides for knee replacement surgery support surgeons in performing accurate and safe procedures. Zimmer PSI may be used in minimally-invasive procedures.
