On February 25, 2010, Innospec's British subsidiary, Innospec Limited, was charged with bribery and corruption by the Serious Fraud Office of the United Kingdom for allegedly providing unlawful payments to the Indonesian government in exchange for contracts for the Company's anti-knock fuel additive. Innospec also recently received notice from the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission that it was under investigation for potentially unlawful involvement with the United Nations Oil for Food Program in Iraq.
