Optical Communications Industry Leaders to Convene at OSA/Lightwave Executive Forum: Technology Innovations and Business Transformations

WHAT: The 2010 Executive Forum, "Technology Innovations and Business Transformations: Optical Communications in 2010 and Beyond," co-sponsored by the Optical Society (OSA) and Lightwave and held in conjunction with OFC/NFOEC, provides industry executives with networking opportunities, and insights and analysis from the optical communications field's leading business and financial experts on tomorrow's trends and opportunities.

WHO: Keynote Speaker Vinton G. Cerf, vice president and chief Internet evangelist, Google

Cerf will provide a macro view of how the Internet and broadband technology have provided a platform for global innovation. He will address how today's climate and tomorrow's needs will drive future requirements and policies to help ensure the benefits of a broadband society are made available to the greatest number of people in a dynamic environment that continues to foster innovation.

Additional Executive Forum topics to be discussed include demand for 40G - 100G technology, what's next for optical communications, alternatives to telecom, and views from Wall Street. Presenters include industry leaders from Ciena, EMCORE Corporation, Facebook, Finisar, Google, Mintera Corporation, Opnext, Sun Microsystems and others.
