By Light Achieves ISO 9001:2008 Certification

A recent audit conducted by ISO registrar Platinum Registration, Inc. confirmed that By Light meets the standard for ISO 9001:2008 certification. As part of its ISO implementation plan, By Light contracted with Platinum Registration as its Registrar and with QAI, Inc. for consulting services. "Platinum is pleased to have an established relationship with By Light as they have proven their commitment to quality and excellent service to their customers. We will continue to assist By Light in the future as they continue to prove conformance to the standard and work towards the achievement of their quality goals by performing assessments using certified auditors who are diligent, business-minded and precise in their methods," said Kerri Williams, Chief Executive of Platinum. "During the By Light assessment, the Platinum Lead Assessor said that the team was impressed with the approach that By Light had taken in the development of their processes and, in particular, thought that the mechanisms developed for setting objectives and continuous improvement was among the best that they had ever observed."

As part of By Light's preparation for the ISO audit, all of the company's policies, procedures, and documents were reviewed, and when necessary, revised. Work instructions were also written to ensure that tasks are performed in a consistent, efficient manner. Documents were given a unique code to ensure each is appropriately controlled and has a designated "owner" .
