RecoverCare Enhances Management Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky., March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- RecoverCare, LLC, a leading distributor of wound care and bariatric equipment and solutions to the acute and long term healthcare markets, today announced that Kevin McKim, most recently Chief Operating Officer of RecoverCare, has been promoted to President, following Tom Smith's departure. Mr. McKim will report to Mark Bidner, RecoverCare's Chief Executive Officer. RecoverCare also today announced that Ryan Schmidt has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Company. Both appointments are effective immediately.

Mark Bidner, RecoverCare's Chief Executive Officer stated, "Kevin has been an extremely valuable member of our team and was instrumental in the transition following RecoverCare's combination with MedaSTAT. Mr. Schmidt, who will report directly to Messrs. Bidner and McKim, will be responsible for overseeing all of RecoverCare's operational activities, including its customer service centers, procurement and inventory, IT and human resources functions. Additionally, Mr. Schmidt will work closely with RecoverCare's sales, finance and executive management groups to achieve the Company's strategic objectives.

Kevin McKim

Mr. McKim, in conjunction with Mr. Paul Elmes, established and managed MedaSTAT USA from 1998 until its merger-of-equals transaction with RecoverCare LLC in August 2009. Most recently Mr. McKim was Chief Operating Officer of RecoverCare, overseeing all of the Company's operational activities. Prior to establishing MedaSTAT USA Mr. McKim held various positions in both the operations and sales areas, with an emphasis in the healthcare technology and clinical fields.

Mr. McKim earned a Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from McKendree College in Lebanon Illinois.

Ryan Schmidt

Mr. Schmidt brings 18 years of management experience to RecoverCare. Most recently, Mr. Schmidt worked in the Private Equity Performance Improvement group of Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), where he assisted private equity firms in performing due diligence and merger integration projects. During his tenure at A&M, Mr. Schmidt worked with several professional services firms where he assisted clients in the chemicals, textiles, industrial gases, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, automotive, environmental testing and public sector industries to unlock value by optimizing business processes, manage change and implement complex ERP solutions. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Schmidt spent 12 years at Accenture, where he served as an Associate Partner in the Resources Operating Unit, assisting global organizations to assess, design, build, deploy and support major ERP change initiatives. Additionally, he served as Vice President of Program Management with a technology consulting organization, where he was responsible for the day-to-day sales and successful delivery of consulting services to large pharmaceutical organizations.

Mr. Schmidt has a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and business from North Carolina State University. He received a Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).
