Roy Ashburn, Gay Hypocrite, Must Be Forced Out of Office

Politicians of both sides of the spectrum carry the stigma of being self-serving liars - but how is being gay and voting against gay rights self-serving? I think it's just stunningly moronic.

Yes, California Senator Roy Ashburn has come out of the proverbial closet as a member of the constituency he voted to suppress and ostracize for years. Per an act of his own ineptitude, he was arrested last week for drunk driving after leaving a gay bar in Sacramento.

In lieu of conjuring the usual and familiar politician's pile of manure, he finally admitted that he's gay on a Bakersfield radio show. There was no "I was forced there against my will by Liberal gay rights activists" or other meaningless excuses of the like - just a not-so-stunning revelation. As I've mentioned before, the only thing stunning here is his idiocy.

The main burning question I have is this: How did his partners and/or gay friends feel about him being gay, but voting against every bill that contained the word "gay"? How did they feel about this man being a downright fraudulent nimrod? The only answer I can come up with to satiate my own inquisition is that these people know being full of crap comes with the territory of a politician. That's as basic as it gets, folks.

Now that Ashburn has given irrefutable evidence that he's been a deceiving crackpot for his entire political career, one would think he'd change how he votes on gay issues, right? Not in the political realm! Logic is an unknown term in the political realm. He fed the show this load of unapologetic clap-trap: "My votes reflect the wishes of the people in my district, and I have always felt that my faith and allegiance was to the people there in the district, my constituents." Meaning quite simply, he will continue to perpetuate the hypocritical nonsense that should have had him on his knees when he was found out last week.

So, Mr. Fraudburn, your votes solely reflect the wishes of your constituents? Did you belong to some kind of secret, self-deprecating, masochistic gay club when you got into politics? Gays who DON'T want rights and wish to be further demeaned by lawmakers? The constituents you should hold in high regard are those who support gay rights and those who relate with the plight you SHOULD be facing. You know, the ones who aren't full of dense, hot air and are upfront with their sexuality.

It should - that's a key word in this rant - should be evident to anyone with half a brain and even a modicum of political knowledge that leaders and representatives are elected to make decisions on their own volition and not always at the whim of the people. If you're just making decisions based on the volition of the people, you may as well not even be there. They could get a monkey to do the same job - at least a monkey would be more entertaining than some of these insipid, threadbare, personality-lacking cretins.

Your faith and allegiance go towards the radical, bigoted, homophobic purveyors of hatred - hatred towards people like YOU - GAY PEOPLE. That goes above and beyond hypocrisy. That, Mr. Fraudburn, is the sole fact that I hope makes the gay community raid your chambers and force you out of office for good. I hope they send you packing until you become an afterthought within the dark annals of deceitful politicians' history.

Or, just political history. That should narrow it down and make your file easier to find in the Library of Idiots - a library I am going to create to inform and warn future generations of the hypocritical imbeciles they should aspire to avert.
