Catholic Charities Launches Transformational Catholic Emerging Leaders (CEL) Program
CLEVELAND - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Catholic Charities Health and Human Services (Catholic Charities) has
introduced a transformational leadership development program called
Catholic Emerging Leaders (CEL). The CEL Program helps emerging leaders
develop their leadership skills, knowledge and exposure. The goals of
the program are to:

Broaden Catholic adult's understanding of the vast social service and
parish-based programs that the Diocese of Cleveland administers

Further the mission of Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Cleveland
for the greater community

Develop a network of engaged volunteers and future leaders
CEL participants will:

Meet top leaders of Catholic Charities and the Diocese of Cleveland
-
Learn about the inner workings of Catholic Charities and the Diocese
of Cleveland
-
Develop leadership skills and knowledge
-
Join with fellow team members on a Catholic Action Project (CAP) to
contribute to the community

According to Thomas Mullen, President and Chief Executive Officer of
Catholic Charities Health and Human Services, "The CEL Program will be a
practical asset to the Diocese of Cleveland. It will encourage
leadership development within the Catholic community through a
structured leadership program and build a foundation for the future."
Catholic Charities encourages other Catholic organizations and dioceses
across the country to adopt the CEL Program to facilitate leadership
development. Added Joe LaMantia, one of the architects of the CEL
Program, "The CEL Program will serve as a model and starting point for
other leadership development programs. The CEL model is extensible and
scalable. It provides structure to the leadership process and creates
