University of Illinois Private Residence Hall Locks in Housing Cost for Four Years

  Share With Friends

CHAMPAIGN, Ill., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Students attending the University of Illinois this Fall will have the option to keep their housing costs locked at 2010-2011 rates for four years - simply by choosing to live at Bromley Hall.

"The cost of housing is a significant portion of a college education today, and budgeting for that expense is a serious concern for both students and parents. In going against the trend with our rate lock guarantee, we hope to take some of that budgeting burden off of students who choose to live at Bromley Hall," said Ed Coyne, Vice President and General Manager of Bromley Hall. Incoming freshmen will be guaranteed the same room and board rates for the next four years, just by choosing to stay at Bromley Hall.

At the end of each school year, these students will be given the unique opportunity to renew their housing accommodations at the same rates for the following years. During their stay in Bromley Hall, residents will even be allowed to change their room and board accommodations, depending upon their academic schedules and needs. These changes can even be made on a semester-by-semester basis at the 2010-11 academic year rates.

"The savings to parents and students is immense. Residents will get to enjoy every bit of our 7+ million dollar renovation for years to come. Whether the Bromley Hall Rate Guarantee will be rolled out for the following freshmen class will be based on the program's popularity and the direction our economy is headed," Coyne said. "We need to see just how popular this program is."
