Interos Poised to Meet Obama's Renewed Emphasis on Cybersecurity
MCLEAN, Va. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Interos Solutions, Inc. announces the company's re-branding to support
its sole focus on Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM). Interos President
Jennifer Bisceglie believes that it is a critical time for intelligence,
civilian and military Federal agencies to focus on SCRM; particularly as
it relates to the expanded definition under Cybersecurity as seen with
President Obama's recent emphasis on the Comprehensive National
Cybersecurity Initiative (CNCI) From financial (money flow) and physical
(inventory) to human (people) and information (systems integration)
supply chains, Interos will continue to work with its clients to put
renewed efforts and resources into mitigating and managing the risks in
their supply chains.
"Threats to the supply chain are very real and on the rise," says
Bisceglie. "By focusing on understanding, mitigating and managing these
risks, we are providing our clients their best defense against the
threats they face on a daily basis-from terrorism or natural disasters,
to health crises or human error. The fact is that we cannot end risk. So
we must manage the risk before it manages us."
New focus aligns with new Obama policy review
Interos' new focus on SCRM is in direct alignment with the Comprehensive
National Cybersecurity Initiative (CNCI), which was originally issued by
the Bush Administration in early 2008. In fact, Initiative #11
specifically states the need to "Develop a multi-pronged approach for
global supply chain risk management."
Interos has helped agencies such as the Department of State, the
Department of Homeland Security, and the U.S. Navy with their Supply
Chain Risk Management. By mitigating their risk, agencies also
experience increased performance and a reduction in program
interruptions.
New website, exclusive rights to RiskNav software
Interos recently launched their new streamlined, easy-to-navigate
website that focuses on their commitment to SCRM and the differences
Interos offers, such as the 15+ years of experience each team member has
in designing, developing and optimizing supply chains.
Interos recently acquired the exclusive field of use rights to RiskNav

offered by Sycamore and used in various capacities to support other
Government programs to monitor overall program management. The tool will
