ELLISVILLE, Miss. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Today, Microsoft Gold Certified partner, Howard Technology Solutions, based in Ellisville, MS, announced that it will recommend and sell low-cost desktop computing solutions based on the new Windows MultiPoint Server 2010 (WMS) operating system and NComputing virtual desktops. Windows MultiPoint Server 2010 is targeted at educational institutions for use in classrooms, labs, and libraries. The MultiPoint platform enables schools to furnish and maintain the necessary, up-to-date technology, while reducing costs associated with equipment acquisition, as well as ongoing operational expenses.

NComputing has a long history in the classroom, with 15 million students using their technology every day. They are market leaders in providing low-cost desktop computing access by sharing the power of today's PCs. NComputing offers broad support for Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, and recently announced full-line support for WMS. (www.ncomputing.com/wms)

According to Howard Vice President of Education Sales, David Perkins, "We're really excited about the combined Microsoft and NComputing solution. It will allow more schools to give each student daily access to a computer, which will help them develop the technological skills so critical for success in today's world."

"The strong support we've already seen from Howard will be instrumental in the development of valuable, innovative solutions for the Windows MultiPoint Server 2010 platform," said Ira Snyder, general manager, Windows MultiPoint Server at Microsoft. "The creation of shared resource computing solutions like Howard's multi-user desktops, powered by NComputing using Windows MultiPoint Server, will provide policymakers, teachers, and students access to affordable and easy-to-use technology."
