Picis to Feature Hospital Executives in Panel Discussions at HIMSS10 Annual Conference

WAKEFIELD, Mass. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Picis today announced a series of executive panels and roundtables, featuring senior healthcare executives, in Picis booth #941 at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) 2010 Annual Conference & Exhibition, March 1-4, 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia. HIMSS Interoperability Showcase

Picis is among 73 vendors and organizations that have met the testing requirements for interoperability to participate in the HIMSS 2010 Interoperability Showcase, designed to illustrate how data sharing between systems and healthcare vendors drives improvements in quality and efficiency of healthcare. The Showcase highlights the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) Consortium's common framework and Healthcare Information Technology Standards Panel (HITSP) interoperability specifications for delivering interoperability across local, regional and national health information exchanges.

Picis will be staging two interoperability scenarios under the Emergency Care themes of emergency encounter with imaging requirement and emergency encounter with imaging distribution. In these scenarios, Picis plans to illustrate its ability to share patient information across multiple care provider systems.
